About ftak
ftak is a free Chrome extension that answers "what does this mean?" without sending you to another tab. Highlight any word or phrase and a compact tooltip shows the definition, a short Wikipedia summary for people, places and concepts, and a map when the text is a location. Click anywhere else and it disappears. There is nothing to sign up for.
ftak.net also has a built-in PDF reader with the same lookups, and an option for UPSC aspirants to see related previous-year questions for text selected in news articles.
Built by a solo developer to help friends studying for UPSC, plus anyone researching a topic or writing a story.
